In places off the proverbial map, poverty tends to be more spread out (even withstanding redlining already at play), and some good things manage somehow to hold in poverty that’s not concentrated. When a place is on the proverbial map, suddenly change is inevitable. But maybe not change like improved social services people with less “on the map” money wanted for decades?
